I have a clear and straightforward mandate: to unify our nation, root out corruption, and rebuild the essential pillars that hold our country together – our economy, healthcare, education and security.
These are not abstract goals. They are urgent, tangible needs felt every day by ordinary Somali citizens. After decades of instability and mismanagement, our people deserve real leadership that prioritises progress over politics, and service over self-interest.
One of my first actions on this path is to replace the outdated and divisive 4.5 system. This system has denied many Somalis a genuine voice for too long, reinforcing division instead of national unity. It is time to restore power to the people through a universal vote – a system where every Somali counts, and every vote matters.
This change is especially vital for our youth. They are the heartbeat of this nation. They want to participate, be heard, and help shape Somalia’s future. By ending the 4.5 system, we open the door to a more inclusive, democratic process that protects our young generation’s right to be part of their own destiny.
This is about fairness. It is about security. It is about giving people a reason to believe again in their leaders and in their country. A universal vote brings us closer to a Somalia that is governed by the will of the people – not by outdated systems or political deals behind closed doors.
#OneManOneVote is not just a hashtag – it is a promise to every Somali that real change is coming.
