The issues discussed at the Dakar International Forum in 2021 have only grown more urgent over time. It is now my mandate to remind all Somalis that the only way for our beloved country to recover from the grip of corruption is through peace and unity. Corruption leads only to destruction and undermines our future.

A clear example of this corruption is the ongoing parliamentary election process, which is neither fair nor acceptable for the Somali people. The international community and our partners must recognize the boundaries of international law. They should not support anything that is corrupt or harmful to our people.

Dear fellow citizens, the only path to a more secure and democratic system lies in adopting the One Man, One Vote system!
